Beth Callahan (Mrs. Callahan) has been an educator at Pine Cobble School for twenty-four years. Born and raised in Berkshire County and a Pine Cobble alumna herself, she has a strong bond with and deep connection to the school. Mrs. Callahan has two sons who have also attended Pine Cobble School; her older son is an alum and her younger son is a seventh grader as of 2023–24. While in high school, Mrs. Callahan returned to Pine Cobble School in the summer months to assist her mentor, Mrs. Carolyn Lehmann. After completing high school, she continued her education at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, earning a BS in psychology, a BA in early childhood education, and a master’s degree in education. Mrs. Callahan wrote her master’s thesis on learning through play, and highlights that daily in the Beginner program at Pine Cobble. She is committed to fostering the development of young minds with the goal of creating lifelong learners. Beth strives to achieve these goals with hands-on creative visual learning through themes incorporating all academic disciplines. In her free time she enjoys hands-on creating of her own, reading mystery novels, and traveling with her family.
