Remembering Hank Flynt

Earlier this morning, Mrs. Wells sent out a message to our community about the loss of a beloved member of the Pine Cobble community. Here’s what she said:
On Saturday night, we lost an extraordinary friend, someone who was part of the Pine Cobble community for over 50 years.
Henry N. Flynt Jr. passed away peacefully at his home on the 11th of July.
While some of our current Pine Cobble community might not have gotten the chance to know Hank in person, I assure you that he touched this school deeply. He supported the mission of Pine Cobble as a parent, board chair, board and committee member, friend, and advisor. Every single day, students feel his impact.
He was the rarest of human beings; everything Hank did, he did with deep kindness, humility, integrity, honesty, and selflessness. His traits are the very ones that everyone at Pine Cobble strives to model and to instill in our students. They’re the very ones that this world needs most today.
We will miss him terribly. Our thoughts are with the Flynt family right now.
